Founded in 1996 by Dr. Mark Yerby, NPER is dedicated to clinical and epidemiological research in epilepsy, particularly the study of antiepileptic drugs, epilepsy and pregnancy, and of pregnancy outcomes.

Currently we are developing research projects on:
1- Neurological effects of anesthetic gases on recovery room personel.
2- Effects of AED on protein induced by vitamin K deficency.
3- Effects of maternal seizures and AED on pregnancy outcomes.
4- Pharmacokinetics of AED in pregnancy.
